Do you want to create an online contract agreement form on your WordPress website where users can e-sign after submitting the form?
Creating an online contract agreement form helps to easily sign your contract without having to print, scan, or fax it. It also helps to save some money.
With an online contract agreement form, your users can easily fill the form and sign the form digitally with e-sign.
In this tutorial, I will show you how you can create an online contract agreement form in WordPress with a digital signature. So, let’s get started.
Create a contract agreement form with digital signatures in WordPress
First, you need to install the WPForms plugin, which is the best and advanced form building plugin for WordPress.
So, click the link below to buy WPForms and get the best deal possible:
Step- 1. Install and activate WPForms
The first step you have to do is to install and activate WPForms. To install WPForms, login to your WordPress dashboard, click on Plugins > Add New and search for ‘WPForms’ and install and activate the addon.
Now to activate your premium license, go to WPForms > Settings and paste your license key and click the button called Connect.
Now you have successfully installed and activated WPForms on your WordPress site.
Step- 2. Install the Signature Addon
Signature Addons helps the users to sign contracts and other agreements with their mouse or touch screen.
To install the Signature Addon, simply click on WPForms > Addons and install and activate the addon.
Step- 3. Create your contract agreement form
Now it’s time to create your contract agreement form. For creating your contract agreement form, click on WPForms > Add New and enter the name of your form and choose the ‘Blank Form’ template.
Once you have done choosing it, you will be redirected to WPForms’ form builder dashboard, where you can design your form.
If you want to add a new field, drag and drop the field from left to right. So, design your form according to your need and your add required form fields.
You can find the Signature filed under the Fancy Fields section. After adding it to your form, click on it and check the box called Required so that your users can’t submit the form unless they add a signature.
In the end, don’t forget to save all the changes by clicking on the Save button.
Step- 4. Configuring notification settings
It is important to properly configure your notification settings. By default, WPForms only send a confirmation notification to the admin. But you also send an email confirmation notification to the user who has successfully submitted your form.
For setting up your confirmation email notification, I highly recommend you to read one of my articles about how to send confirmation emails to users.
And also read how to add captcha in your forms to protect your form from spammers.
Step- 4. Configuring Confirmation settings
A confirmation message is a message which users see when they submit their form. With WPForms, you can create three types of confirmation messages.
a. With this, you can create a normal message. To create this type of message select Message from the drop-down and put your message.
b. If you select Show Page, you can redirect your users to a specific page.
If you want, you can create a ‘thank you’ page and after your users submit the form, you can redirect them to your ‘thank you’ page.
c. You can show your users a specific URL (like, you can show them a post and redirect them to any other sites). To do that, you need to select the Go to URL (Redirect) option and put your URL.
Step- 5. Publish your form
It is the last step to follow and also the easy step. If you are using a Page Builder on your site, you don’t need to worry about that, because WPForms is fully comfortable with Page Builders.
Go to Pages > Add New and create a new page or open your exciting page and search for WPForms in the Gutenberg editor and select your form. After doing that, don’t forget to publish your form.
WPForms also provides a shortcode that can be used in any of your pages or posts.
Now you have successfully created your contract agreement form with a digital signature in WordPress.
